Term 2 Week 6 Rippa and Kiwi Can

Kia Ora Whanau and Friendly Viewers!

This week we have some guest commentators to
talk about Rippa Rugby and Kiwi Can.

Here is Malachi. "I am passing the ball to Iosefo. I like Rippa Rugby because it's fun and I get to run around a lot. I have learned better passing from Coach Cory."

Here is Shelan. "I am trying to catch the ball. I like Rippa Rugby because we get to learn about Rugby and try catching the ball. I like doing the games like Cat and Mouse and grabbing the tags."
Here is Renei. "I threw the ball to Shelan and she caught it. I like Rippa Rugby because its amazing and fun. I like all the games and I learned how to do 'dinosaur hands' and running and putting the ball down at the same time."

Here is Ngahuia. "I am trying to catch the ball after Solomon threw it to me. I love Rippa Rugby because it gives you energy to play and I learned new skills from Coach Cory. He taught us how to do 'dinosaur hands' so that we can catch the ball more easily."

Here is Willie. "I am kneeling down to try and catch the ball more easily. Malachi passed it to me. It was easy kneeling down on the ground. I like Rippa Rugby, I have learned about whenever the person rolls the ball to you you have to get ready by bringing your arms down and bringing the ball to your chest."

At Kiwi Can
Here is DJ. "We are working together as a team to make sure that this structure can stand and hold up a tennis ball. We used some long strips of tape to make the newspaper at the top stay up. I am the boy by the green flag."

Here is Kaulave. "We had to make a big circle out of newspaper and 2 pieces of tape. It had to hold up a ball so it doesn't touch the  floor. Our team won! We won because we worked together and helped each other. Kiwi Can was fun, I like it, I like the activities."

Here is Sosefina. "We are making a structure for the ball so that when it is dropped from a height it will catch it. It was quite hard. We all started to make our own thing at first, instead of working together. When the other team was nearly finished, we started to work together. I like Kiwi Can, I like that any time we go there we get cool things to do."

Here is Solomon. "We tried our best to make it work. We sort of succeeded, because when the ball dropped it held up for a little while but it still fell over. I like the games at Kiwi Can and it is interesting."

  3. Nice work Room 5 and I bet when you grow up and if you were working building houses you might remember the wining team that built a structure
    and won for Kiwi Can.
